Donella Meadows (1941 to 2001) was an American environmental scientist, educator, and systems thinker who taught at Dartmouth College for nearly three decades. She was the lead author of the landmark study The Limits to Growth and wrote Thinking in Systems, a foundational primer on systems dynamics published posthumously.
